GAFF - Gorey Arts & Film Festival
OG introduced the first credible Arts Festival to take place in Gorey since the infamous Funge/Gorey Festival of the 60's & 70's. GAFF was a one day family event set up as a collaboration between French's, ArtsTap International, SoundFjord London, Eco Pizzeria, The Art Ambulance, Montague Heritage, Image Masters Studio & c.200 people throughout the day.
GAFF created a platform for local artists to exhibit alongside established international practitioners, including John Wynne who exhibited in the Saatchi Gallery 2 years previous. GAFF also showcased leading Irish film including Kisses, The Silver Bow, Rickshaw Rick & the Halo Effect, starring actors such as Stephen Rae who featured in V for Vendetta & Breakfast on Pluto, alongside a programme of live music as well as a series of food and craft stalls, including that of Montague Heritage Services who have contributed to numerous successful productions, such as; Braveheart, Strongbow, King Arthur among many others.
